Bob vs. Everybody

Bob vs. Everybody

This photo was taken on July 30, 2012 at Blackhouse MMA in Compton, CA.

I got a text from Anderson that he was planning on training at Blackhouse on this day and if I was free to come and shoot, to meet him there. Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s are Pro MMA Athlete training days so I expected the gym to be packed with athletes. When I arrived, nobody was in the gym except me, Anderson and Bob, the training dummy.

No matter what gym I go to, Bob is always there and on this day he was catching a beating from every angle. Anderson’s fluid movement and fight style is a direct reflection of his personality and how he sees the fight playing out, so to be able to photograph that in an empty gym was awesome. Working with Anderson over the last 10 years has been a true honor and joy.

This is a Limited Edition Giclée on cotton fiber paper.

The photographer, Eric Williams, signed the artwork in the presence of a Notary Public.
